Gowns For Days | Monique Lhuillier “Candy”

There are so many stunning gowns that have been designed and worn by beautiful brides – and every single one should be show cased and swooned over. With that, welcome to my “Gowns for Days” collection.

Every day I will feature a swoon worthy gown by a various designer. I hope this collection inspires you or helps you find the gown of your dreams.

Monique Lhuillier, Candy

DESIGNER: Monique Lhuillier

DRESS: Candy

DESCRIPTION: From Brides.com “Strapless corset bodice embroidered tulle gown with modified A-line godet skirt.”

PAIR WITH: A lush, romantic yet perfectly traditional cathedral veil, matching the dress’s tulle – with a modern, but not gaudy earring; something with some sparkle, but still modestly sized. Oh, and the most romantic pastel bouquet you can dream up.

PERFECT VENUE: Somewhere formal, but romantic – an old courthouse covered in marble or a vintage up-scale hotel with light decor.

WHY I LOVE IT: Drooling!! How can you not love this gown? The fit. The Detail. The bodice. The godet skirt. It hugs every inch exactly how it should and while it’s not wild and crazy the detail makes it unique, feminine and ultra-romantic. It’s a homerun not only for the bride, but the googly-eyed groom, the photographer’s close-ups and for the father of the bride (the moment he realizes his little girl isn’t so little any more). And if you aren’t a blushing bride – this beauty comes in ivory.

OVERALL LOOK: feminine, romantic, classic with an edge

GROOM’S ATTIRE: A formal black tux, paired with a sleek black bow tie.
